The Diocese of Oudtshoorn joins in the fight against Trafficking in Persons

‘Now I know I was trafficked but I just didn’t know it was called human trafficking.’ The response of a young man who participated in a seminar held in Beaufort Wes on 13 March 2010 by the Justice and Peace team to educate locals about trafficking in persons before and during the FIFA World Cup Soccer Tournament.

CCL. 517). we are entering unchartered waters.” – were the words of Bishop Edward Adams of the Diocese of Oudtshoorn, at the launch of the first experiment of canonical team ministry in his diocese on Saturday 13th February 2010.

 
Southern African Catholic Bishops' Lenten Appeal: "Seeds of Hope"

Ash Wednesday (17 February 2010) marks the beginning of Lent. The Catholic Community participates in sharing and praying for missions running in Southern Africa, through its Bishops’ Lenten Appeal. For six weeks of Lent until Easter Sunday there is an opportunity to become more aware of the needy.
