Die huidige Katedraal is op 06 Augustus 1967, Die Fees van die Verheerliking van Onse Here op die Berg Tabor, ingewy.

The present Cathedral building was dedicated on 06 August 1967, The Feast of the Transfiguration of Our Lord on Mount Tabor.

Die Bisdom Oudtshoorn, onder die beskerming van Die Onbevlekte Hart van Maria en ‘n Suffragane Bisdom van die Metropolitaanse Aartsbisdom Kaapstad, vorm deel van die Suider-Afrikaanse Katolieke Biskoppe Konferensie (SAKBK).

The Diocese of Oudtshoorn, under the patronage of The Immaculate Heart of Mary and a Suffragan Diocese of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Cape Town, is part of the Southern African Catholic Bishops Conference (SACBC).

Bishop-elect Francisco Fortunato De  Gouveia

Francisco Fortunato de Gouveia is op 28 Mei 2010 aangestel as Biskop van die Bisdom Oudtshoorn en is op 17 Julie 2010 as Biskop gekonsekreer.

Francisco Fortunato de Gouveia has been appointed Bishop of the Diocese of Oudtshoorn on 28 May 2010 and has been consecrated Bishop on 17 July 2010.
